Harbor View Estates puts gated, lake-view living on the west side of Lake Coeur d'Alene, and Stevens Point adds a second gate for the most private homes within it.
The setting
Harbor View Estates sits on high ground above the west side of Lake Coeur d'Alene, roughly 15 to 20 minutes from downtown by paved roads. Homes look out across the lake toward Gozzer Ranch and Sanders Beach, and from Stevens Point the view runs from downtown and the Resort golf course to Arrow Point and Harrison.
Stevens Point is its own gated enclave inside the Harbor View gate, so residents there pass through two.
On the water
Harbor View owners share a community beach and park with a picnic area and gazebo, and Stevens Point has its own private community beach of about 150 feet. Boat slips are sold separately as they come available, so buyers who want moorage should ask early.
The real estate
Lots run from about three quarters of an acre to nearly three acres, with custom lake-view homes of roughly 3,600 to 6,000 square feet or more, built from the early 1990s to today. Recent listings have run from about $2 million to over $5 million for homes, and building lots from the high $300,000s to about $450,000.
Community water and sewer are already at the road, which makes the remaining lots simpler to build on. Homes are in Coeur d'Alene School District 271.
